A fun and engaging LEGO-based play therapy program designed and facilitated by Speech Pathologists in small groups.

Through hands-on LEGO play, children will have opportunities to develop & practice:

• ·     Confidence communicating with peers

When: Tuesdays weekly, 1:30pm–3pm | Tues 23 October – Tues 15th December 2026

Ages:  4 to 6 years: Children starting Prep in 2027

Where: Speech Bubble Speech Pathology, 230 Nepean Hwy, Edithvale, VIC 3196

• 12 hours of group participation over 8 sessions

What is LEGO based play therapy?

The LEGO Based Play therapy program supports children and teens to build communication, social confidence, and teamwork skills through structured play-based group sessions. Originally developed in the mid 1990’s by Paediatric neuropsychologist Daniel LeGoff, the model has since been refined through clinical research and widespread use across paediatric therapy, education, and social skills programs. LEGO-based therapy leverages a child’s intrinsic motivation and structured play roles to support measurable growth in communication, cooperation and flexible thinking.

LEGO provides a highly motivating and hands-on way for children to learn and practice communication skills. In our small-group sessions, children are encouraged to build, talk, listen, explain, collaborate, problem-solve and share ideas — all while having fun!

LEGO Language Lab’s at Speech Bubble Speech Pathology combines the enjoyment of LEGO with purposeful, evidence-informed speech pathology intervention in a supportive small-group environment. They are run in two formats as an Intensive Holiday Program and Term Weekly Program.

Ages 7–10

Ages 11–13
Building higher-level communication, collaboration, problem-solving, planning and flexible thinking through engaging LEGO challenges.
